Although this blog is more about how the sausage is made than the meal that results, I do have some new work I’d like to share.
These shots from Italian Glamour were the products of my first- and second-ever editorials. The issue finally came out in March, if I recall correctly.

Meanwhile, Greek Cosmopolitan was my second-most-recent editorial. (You may recall my post about the shoot.) And it came out, like, two minutes ago. Fashion: bending the time-space continuum to its own ends since Madeleine Vionnet invented cutting on the bias.

Peep the heavy-duty stylist’s clamp holding the dress on.

I guard those sandals — which Iphigenia made and then gave to the three models you see here — with my life. Iphigenia, wherever you are, you are one bad-arse Greek stylista (and your name still rocks my geeky classics-loving face off).

Meanwhile, the test I wrote about here merits posting an extract.

See, first we run through the meadow. Look how sweet we look!

Then I seduce the helpless male model with my feminine wiles. I’m sneaky like that.

And then there was this test. Pretty fun.

This, from memory, is a Comme des Garçons matador jacket and Calvin Klein underwear.

The aforementioned pretty Demeulemeester feathered thing, and Elle MacPherson skivvies.

Prada dress; belt worn as necklace, makeup artist’s own. We shot in a hotel room, and the afternoon sunshine on the 98-degree day filtered through the white net curtains so beautifully. It was like working inside a softbox. And then we drank Bloody Marys!

That concludes fashion show-and-tell for now.
