Jenna’s Model Life

Guess who now lives within walking distance of LACMA.

Your favourite model, that’s who!

My apartment has no(!) wifi (save for a creaky open network that comes and goes multiple times in the interval it takes to load a page). So expect regrettably few updates while I tackle Los Angeles, home of the U.S.’s second-largest public transportation system. Show week is March 8-14. Wish me luck!

Good luck at LA show week!

re: your friend’s worm compost. I have done that. The real limitation is that natural decomposition, in other words mold, does about half the work. My husband wouldn’t let me put it inside the house, so the worms died off one cold winter when I couldn’t keep them warm enough (they are especially hungry river delta worms). It’s basically a mold-pit though.

To me the runway pictures of the girls they used in Paris DO look thinner than ever. One Aussie girl said she had a BMI of around 15, but she was extremely tall. I hear a lot of models just didn’t make the cut, not being quite that gaunt.

I have to say, Paris is the one and only place where I have experienced difficulties because of my measurements. In NY, my agency warned me that having 35-inch hips might be a limitation, but I worked. Paris is extreme.

A BMI of 15? How is she still breathing?
