Jenna’s Model Life

New pictures of your favourite model!

Today I stopped by my agency and I got the contact sheets from the two tests I mentioned doing last week in digital form. These photos are enlargements from the contact sheets: They haven’t been retouched yet, and when I have proper hi-res shots I’ll replace these for them. But I know you must be curious to see what I’ve been up to, so here goes.

Maillot.

Once I squeezed into the very brief, Brazilian-made crochet maillot, it was fun to pose for these shots.

Maillot 2.

Formal dress.

This almost looks like a dress — you can just see a sliver of skin around my back that shows it’s actually a bustier and a high-waisted Versace skirt. I kind of love how it looks like I have an awesome bowl cut as well.

Summer outfit.

These shots were fun. I don’t think I’m ready to go all Caroline-Trentini and shoot entire Vogue editorials while using my model-powers of levitation, but I think this shot came out okay.

Jump shot.

Then, I dressed up like a boy.

Luckily, I already had the shoes!

But, see, I’m diverse. I can do lingerie.

Lingerie.

And colour!

But it’s true I do like the cross-dressing. Oh, little brother, I seem to recall you having one of these Eisenhower jackets lying about the place. Next time I come home, watch out or I just might steal it.

Eisenhower

Here I model an up-to-the-minute Renaissance Faire look (the fashion is so far forward, my head needed another second to catch up with my body). Pay heed, wenches! Billowy sleeves are back, so sayeth I.

Blouse and tie.

I really like this one.

Head shot 2.

First seven images by Sol Sanchez, remainder by Cynthia & Philippe Barigan. Supremely talented folks.

That is all for now, thanks for watching.

Wow, Jenna, you look amazing! And I truly wish I could have joined you for your day at the museums. Someday, perhaps I too will have a Paris adventure….sigh.

Oh my god! You look unfathomably beautiful! You have facial expressions I’ve never seen before! Come home to San Francisco! No! Wait! I’ll come to Paris!

    (c’mon, Truman!)

    Jenz,

Pretty pretty stunning stuff. I like the one of you jumping and, like, not really caring that you’re jumping. Petey mentioned the chance of you two spending some time in NY in the new year. And while I’m sure your agency will set you up in the most comfortable of spots, you two have free reign over Charlie and I’s ghetto mansion in Bushwick…under the condition that you introduce me to EVERY SINGLE ONE OF YOUR FEMALE MODELING FRIENDS. But really, I like the jumping.

Hard to decide but I think I like the boy clothes shots and the head shot is awesome. I am prejudiced, though….

How excellent, Jenna! And guess what? I have that same white chair from Ikea that’s in your first shot! In fact, I’m modeling the chair right now as I sit in it to type! Who needs the Versace when you have the white Ikea chair? Right?

  • photojenna // October 10, 2007 at 11:26 pm

I had that white Ikea chair in New Zealand, too. Or, actually, not that exact one, but the one that is a knockoff of the Arne Jacobsen “Ant” chair. The one I was sitting in the photo is Ikea’s knockoff of the Arne Jacobsen “Model 3107″ chair (I care about accuracy; I Google. I don’t actually walk around with this stuff about chairs in my head.) But I’m glad you commented cus now I know you have a blog!

    Mum and Dad,

Glad you like my pictures. I miss you!

    Love,

    Jenna

Jumping without seeming to care that you’re jumping is totally the hardest part of modeling. I feel like you understand me, Greg. And I will totally introduce you to my female modeling friends. When Peter, Truman, and I stay at Bushwick Heights.

I’m surprised in 2.8 years of dating that there is a single facial expression of mine you’ve yet to see, my sweet, but I’ll go with it :D

  • photojenna // October 10, 2007 at 11:31 pm

Maggie, I’m sure you’ll come to Paris some day. I know you would love it! And the museums are so amazing that actual locals go to them. Seriously. You’d love it.

  • photojenna // October 10, 2007 at 11:31 pm

Mark, thanks! You’re the best :D

was it you that I met on the Long Island Railroad heading to Penn Station on Sunday 10th Feb 2008 in the early hours of the morning. Had a great conversation with a young lady called Jenna who’s occupation was modelling the she disappeared.

  • photojenna // February 19, 2008 at 9:51 pm

Nope, couldn’t have been. I returned to San Francisco on Saturday the 9th. Also I don’t believe I’ve ever ridden the LIRR (though there is that Noguchi museum out in Long Island City, so that might change with my next trip to NYC).

Good luck finding the other model named Jenna.
